Instructions for a free heart scan without app
Use your smartphone’s built-in recorder app to make a recording. This is “Voice Memos” for iPhone, “Voice Recorder” for Samsung, or simply “Recorder” on Google Pixel and Motorola. Make sure that your phone settings are optimal. For iPhones make sure “enhanced recording” is turned on after you record (click here). For Google Pixel, make sure “Adaptive Sound“ is off (click here).
Go to a quiet environment, such as a quiet room with a closed door, and make sure that your heart is at rest (i.e. you have not recently exercised or hurried up stairs). Breathe normally and relax!
Place the bottom of your phone against your chest, roughly three fingers below your collarbone and slightly to the left or right of the centre of your chest (do not put the phone on the bony elements of your sternum: make sure that when you feel the location you put your phone, you feel your ribs).
Simply record and upload the recording below! That’s it!
