Text messages from Sonus Health
Sonus Health is an app that lets pet owners record their dog’s or cat’s heart at home and share the results with their vet. It is made by Decorte Future Industries Ltd.
We text people only when they have agreed to it, about something they or their vet asked for. We never send marketing texts.
The texts we send
- Invites from your vet. When your vet invites you to follow your pet’s heart health, or to keep a tummy diary, in the Sonus Health app, we text you the invite. Until you accept it, we send up to three reminders, 2, 5 and 10 days later, and your vet can resend it.
- A link to the app. When you type your own mobile number into our “Text me” form, we send you one text with a link that opens the app on your phone.
- Recordings shared with your vet. When a pet owner shares their pet’s recordings with their vet by text, we send one text with the link to the mobile number the vet gave them.
How you agree to them
Invites from your vet: you say yes to your vet
Your vet asks you first, during your appointment or video consultation:
“Can Sonus Health text you a link to set up the app, and reminders? Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”
Only if you say yes does your vet enter your mobile number in Sonus Health and tick “My client agreed to receive this text”. The text cannot be sent without that tick, and Sonus Health records who ticked it and when. The form shows the vet the question to ask, right under the tick box:
A link to the app: you ask for it
On a computer, signed in to Sonus Health, you type your own mobile number and tap Text me. The form says what you will get and how to stop it. We send that one text and nothing else.
Recordings shared with your vet: your vet gives the number
The pet owner asks their vet where to send the recordings, enters the mobile number the vet gives them, and ticks “My vet gave me this number for this text”. The text cannot be sent without that tick, and Sonus Health records when it was ticked. We send one text with the link, and the link expires after 3 days.
